Charlotte Fire Department sending assistance to help with Vermont flooding

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Members of the Charlotte Fire Department are heading to Vermont to help emergency services as they prepare for life-threatening flooding.

The Charlotte Fire Department deployed North Carolina Task Force 3 to assist with the high-risk rainfall expected in Vermont this week.

Heavy rain is set to stick around overnight and through tomorrow in Vermont, creating dangerous conditions.

Vermont Governor Phill Schott has already declared a state of emergency.
